A community exhibition to outline next steps for the Electric Mountain Visitor Centre site is to be held at Llanberis Community Centre, Llanberis between 17:00 – 19:00, on Thursday 31st March 2022 and between 10:00 – 12:00, on Friday 1st April 2022.

This drop-in event is open to all members of the community to find out more about the proposed works to remove the existing building and bring the site back into use as well as providing an opportunity to discuss any questions you may have. The event is being hosted by Dinorwig Power Station owner First Hydro.

The Electric Mountain Visitor Centre has played a part in community life for many years and earlier this month First Hydro outlined plans to Gwynedd Council for a future of the site which identifies suitable opportunities to retain benefits for local people, following consultation with local representatives and partner organisations.

The community exhibition will showcase the proposed demolition process for the existing building as well as works to expand public car parking provision on the site alongside the creation of an adaptable space to accommodate local community events.
