Set against a magnificent backdrop of the towering mountains and the magnificent scenery of Snowdonia, Electric Mountain is First Hydro Company's Visitor centre in Llanberis. Its split level layout contains a gift shop and cafe and is the starting point for the tour of Dinorwig Power Station.


'Ein Treftadaeth / Our Heritage' project is a partnership project led by Gwynedd council.  This is part of Cadw's Heritage Tourism Project and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government. 

Electric Mountain Visitor Centre are pleased to host a digital hub exhibition based on the themes of Origins, Pre History and Roman Invasion, Inspirational Landscapes, Edwardian Castles and Industrial Nation.

Opening Times

The Centre is open 7 days a week from 09:30am - 5:30pm with tours operating daily.

As availability is limited, pre-booking is essential.  Visit our Online Booking page to check availability and book your places. 



The 39th International Snowdon Race will take place in Llanberis on Saturday 19th July 2014. www.snowdonrace.co.uk

If you are visiting on Saturday, please be aware of a few delays in Llanberis and ensure you leave more time to travel.

The following road closures will apply between Electric Mountain and the Royal Victoria Hotel:

13:50 – 14:15 for the start of the race

15:00 – 15:15 for the end of the race

There will be a stop/go system operated between these times to allow runners to pass.
